Sambilotos are plants
that often found almost all over archipelago. The scientific name is Andrographis paniculata ness. It is
family of Acanthaceae. Sundanese
peoples called sambiloto ki peurat. Sumatra people called it pepaitan.
Sambilotos have many
functions. Sambilotos are used to cure some diseases, like hepatitis, diarrhea,
stomachache, diabetes, malaria, etc. Besides sambilotos are used to cure some
disease, it can be used in the manufacture of jamu. Jamu are traditional
beverage or medicine from Indonesia.

to shrub plant that grows in various habitat, like fringe fields, garden, or
forest. Sambilotos are live in open area. It grows naturally in
lowlands.
